Vemme Kart
Vemme Kart is Victorious at SKUSA SummerNationals
Continuing to gain momentum in the North American karting marketplace, Vemme Kart was back in action this past weekend at the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour in Tooele, Utah. Taking place at the ultra-challenging Miller Motorsports Park facility, Vemme Kart once again stood on the top step of the podium in the S2 division, as the three event series is now in the homestretch with the prestigious SuperNationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, its only remaining event.

Working with European KZ chassis tuner Darko Orcic, Christian Schureman would turn some heads with his outstanding on track performance. Qualifying in the ninth position on Saturday, Schureman would progress through the heats, earning fifth and fourth place results. Passing three karts through the first turn of the final, Schureman went on to lead 20 laps to reach the checkered flag first. After taking the victory in Saturday's wheel-to-wheel action, Schureman would then look to double up on Sunday after qualifying his Vemme chassis in the fifth position. With strong heat race results, both in the second position, Schureman would be forced to start the main event at the tail of the S2 field due to being one pound underweight after the second heat race.

"The weight issue after the second heat race was no fault of Schureman or his tuner," expressed Vemme Kart designer Vince Mandarino. "With the crazy weather and drastic changes in wind and temperature, the scale was up and down in accuracy as multiple drivers were disqualified for weight violations."

Starting from the tail of the field, Schureman drove like a seasoned veteran as he worked his way forward. Showing that he had the speed to dominate the weekend, the talented driver would cross the stripe in the 11th position, narrowly missing another top ten result.

Fellow Vemme Kart pilot Chris Perrault would see action in the S4 shifter category as he battled the weekend elements. Progressing through the test day and the pair of race days, Perrault would score some good results for the Vemme chassis line as they look to come to the forefront of North American karting.

Kale Kunicki would be Vemme Kart's lone entry in the TaG Junior division and immediately started the weekend behind the eight ball. Having never driven the Miller Motorsports Park track and missing the majority of Friday morning's practice sessions, Kunicki would struggle to come to terms with the high grip situations that the Utah facility presented. A front-runner in club level Rotax competition, Kale eventually began to show his speed in Sunday afternoon's main event. A great driver with a lot of natural talent, Kunicki can and will be a front-runner on the Vemme Kart in events to come.

The Vemme Kart chassis research and development department is hard at work both in Italy and North American tracks. With ongoing development strategies and by using different materials to address the need for the current tire compounds, Vemme Kart is looking to make the perfect kart for all racing applications.

Mandarino added, "We are very pleased with the current KZ chassis, a special design developed for the SKUSA MG tire compound. With more chassis to come, we look to have the competitive advantage in both low and high horsepower applications in future events. If you are looking to try Vemme Kart, please contact your local dealer or distributor to arrange a free test."
